Pleasant Hill Baptist Church

Who Are We?

Pleasant Hill Baptist Church is a local Baptist church affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention and the Catawba River Baptist Association. Our calling and mandate is to seek to lift up and glorify the Lord Jesus Christ, who lived, died, and was resurrected so that we, His body, may do exactly what He did—love all, reach all, teach all, and send all. Jesus commanded us,

"Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age."

Throughout our history, Pleasant Hill has taken this commandment seriously. Today, we continue to take up the challenge of our Lord—but since the time is short, we move at His command with greater passion and intensity. We are called to love—we will love. We are compelled to reach out—we will reach out to the lost, confused, diminished and marginalized peoples of our society—just like Jesus did. We will take every opportunity to teach the Word of God and share the truth of God so that each will be built up unto maturity. Jesus sends us out to the fields white with harvest—we will go. And as we go, we will clothe ourselves with the character of Christ and put on the "armor of God."
